FAQ

In January, all current SRA students will receive a Commitment Form. On the Commitment Form, students have the opportunity to indicate if they would like to stay on their current track or if they wish to transfer to another track for the following year. If a Commitment Form is not filled out prior to January 22nd we cannot guarantee your child a spot for the upcoming year.

On the Commitment Form the student may request to be included in a specific grade level/track category for the lottery.

Placement/track transfers are dependent on the grade level/track availability and the results of the lottery. (To be added to the Track Transfer Lottery a student must be enrolled prior to November 1st)

The results of the lottery will determine the wait lists.

All students that state on the commitment form that they will return the following year will then be sent re-enrollment forms for the following year in the month of May.

Red Track:  Independent Study – Home school.
White Track:  2 days a week on campus, the remainder of the week is Independent Study.
Blue Track:  Full time on campus.
Transitional Kindergarten is a program for students that turn 5 between 9/2 and 12/2.  Santa Rosa Academy’s TK program is a Red Track homeschool program with 2 half days on campus with a teacher.  All TK students do not have priority in the following years kindergarten lottery.

More information is posted on our Transitional Kindergarten page.

If your child turns 5 prior to Sept.2,  your child will be enrolling into Kindergarten.
If your turns 5  on or between 9/2 and 12/1 your child will be enrolling into Transitional Kindergarten.
The SRA Wait Lists are built from the results of the annual lottery.

Any student who did not receive placement from the lottery is added to the appropriate category wait list in the order determined by the annual lottery results.

Students who missed the open enrollment deadline for the lottery can also be added to wait lists (e.g. general public) after the lottery by completing the wait list sign up form:  http://sra.mn/join-wait-list.  All students that are added to the waitlist after the lottery will be added in the order in which they are received.

Information Meeting attendance is no longer required prior to joining our lottery but required before their enrollment will be finalized.

Any student offered a position after the lottery will be required to attend an informational meeting if the family has not already done so. The first five students on the waiting lists will also need to attend the information meeting after the lottery.

First, the offer of placement goes to the first student on the Blue Track Transfer Wait List, and so on and so forth.
Secondly, the offer of placement goes to the first student on the Blue Track Sibling Wait List, and so on and so forth.
Thirdly, the offer of placement goes to the first student on the Blue Track (general public) wait list.

Students may only transfer tracks one time a year. A student must wait 30 school days after their enrollment start date to be approval to be put on a track transfer wait list. You may request a track transfer www.sra.mn/track-transfer.

Yes, in order from highest priority to lowest: Staff, Heritage Track Transfers, Track Transfers*, Heritage Siblings**, Siblings, General Public.

*Track Transfers have priority over Siblings and the General Public. This includes Lottery Track Transfers and Current Track Transfers.
**Important note about Heritage Students:  A Heritage Student is identified as a student who continuously attended Santa Rosa Academy since PRIOR TO the opening of the new campus or the 2013-14 school year. These students would have attended school at the Main Campus at  MSJC, Santa Rosa Academy West or the shopping center on Baxter Road in Wildomar. Heritage and Siblings need to be verified by Administration and Registrar.

You may attend the public lottery but it is not required.  Results from the day of the lottery are posted in the front of the school.  Results are posted online once the lottery has concluded and the results have been finalized, the Monday after the lottery.  Visit:  http://sra.mn/sra-annual-lottery. If you are offered placement after the lottery you will be notified via email and/ phone.  If your contact information has changed you may update it online: http://goo.gl/forms/SdivX9f1xj.
