The projects need to be completed by the end of the student's junior year, and as seniors, they compete for one of the five annual community service project scholarships. Each year, Santa Rosa Academy teachers and staff vote for the top five projects, and the selected students present their projects to the Governing Board who awards the scholarships.
The top five community service projects this year were:
- All Dolled Up, by Bethany Bradwell – First Place
- Teen Duffles, by Joy Martinez – Second Place
- A Helping Hand, by Kaylee Carrico – Third Place
- Knitting Memories, by Rylee Curry – Fourth Place
- Klean Pets, by Rosecylina McDonald – Fifth Place
