Santa Rosa Academy Takes The Great Kindness Challenge

Kindness Certified School
The Great Kindness Challenge, presented by the global nonprofit Kids for Peace, was launched with three Carlsbad, California schools in 2012 to address bullying and foster connection, inclusion, and compassion. The annual program has multiplied in enrollment each year, having grown to nearly 17 million students in 33,000 schools, reaching across all 50 states and 115 countries.

In light of the life-altering global pandemic, we believe it's more important than ever to allow our students to participate in this uplifting week of kindness. To help our students practice kindness and put their compassion into action, they will receive a Great Kindness Challenge checklist. We will encourage all students to complete as many acts of kindness as possible at school and hope they feel inspired to continue them at home! SRA will also amplify the experience by inserting daily kindness classroom activities and campus-wide dress-up days this week. On Tuesday, we'll round-up on kindness by wearing western attire. On Wednesday, we'll spread kindness like a ray of sunshine by wearing yellow, and on Thursday, we'll dress up as rock stars to show that kindness rocks.

Together, we will lift each other up, cheer each other on and show the world that KINDNESS MATTERS! We invite the entire Menifee community to join in the #GreatKindnessChallenge to remember that "Kindness starts with 'ME'nifee." Feel free to use the attached list of kind acts to get your children and yourself started and see how long these tiny kind acts will take us.
