I have always been passionate about education, both in and out of the classroom. I have been a classroom teacher and a school administrator at both the elementary and Middle School levels and have worked in the education field for close to twenty years. After teaching for 5 years, I became a Student Facilitator for an elementary school and then moved on the become an Assistant Principal at a Middle School. I truly enjoyed my role as a school administrator and having the ability to positively impact so many families. However, I decided to step down because I had just had my second child and wanted to spend more time with my family. Going back into the classroom afforded me the opportunity to join the Santa Rosa Academy teaching staff. I was initially drawn to SRA's vision, and core value and very quickly realized it felt so "right" being here. Santa Rosa Academy has become my "home away from home," and I absolutely love working here.
I have been happily married for 12 years and have a soon-to-be 26-year-old step-daughter that has Down Syndrome. I also have two girls, and they both attend SRA. It is quite a busy household when we are all home, and I am truly grateful for having a very patient husband! :)
