Bio:
I am from San Diego and a mother to two amazing children. Our family moved to Menifee in January of 2022. I have a son in Kindergarten and a daughter in 6th grade, both at SRA, and my husband works in law enforcement. I love to travel and have lived in the UK for two years: first in Preston, England and then in Leeds, England where I earned my M.A. in American Literature. I obtained my credential and M.Ed from the University of San Diego when I returned back to the states. I have been teaching high school English for ten years, taught yearbook for four years and journalism for three years.
I love being out in nature, reading with a good cup of coffee, am a Swiftie. I love my two dogs (Fitz & Garvey) and my family. I love learning about other people, their cultures and customs. I am incredibly sarcastic and love my students and their unique personalities. I teach to be the teacher I once needed and believe strongly in the power of language and critical thinking which is why I am passionate about teaching English and Journalism.
