New Lottery Schedule

2018/2019 Lottery – First Friday in October 2017

Currently Enrolled Students Lottery Request Form Dates:  Through September 15th,2017 in the Parent Portal: www.portal.sra.mm.
Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten:  Kindergarten birthdates between 9-2-2012 and 9-1-2013.  Transitional Kindergarten birthdates between 9-2-2013 and 12-1-2013.
Lottery Track Transfer Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in SRA by  August 1st, 2017 to be eligible for the 2018/2019 track transfer lottery. Forms are located in the Parent Portal.
General Public: Deadline to enter the 2018/2019 Lottery: September 15th, 2017. General Public Forms online: http://sra.mn/lottery-sign-up.

2019/2020 Lottery – First Friday in March 2018

Adding Siblings to the Lottery: Currently enrolled families wishing to add an additional child into the lottery for the 2019/2020 school year may do so by completing the online sign-up form:  www.sra.mn/lottery-sign-up.  If the sibling is already on the wait list you do not need to complete the form.  They will be rolled over to the next grade level for the lottery.
Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten:  Kindergarten birthdates between 9-2-2013 and 9-1-2014.  Transitional Kindergarten birthdates between 9-2-2014 and 12-1-2014.
Lottery Track Transfer Eligibility: 
Students must be enrolled in SRA by August 1st, 2017 to be eligible for the 2019/2020 track transfer lottery.
Lottery Sibling Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in SRA by August 1st, 2017 for their siblings to be eligible for the 2019/2020 track transfer lottery.  As of January 1st, 2018 siblings can only be added to the wait list through the lottery.  If a sibling is not entered into the lottery prior to a lottery deadline then the sibling will have to wait until the next lottery year to be added to the lottery/wait list.
General Public: Deadline to enter the 2019/2020 Lottery: February 15th, 2018 online  www.sra.mn/lottery-sign-up.
All students entered in the 2019/2020 lottery will receive a lottery confirmation email prior to February 22nd, 2018.
Note:
As of 8-1-17 the current school year wait list will only be used until April 30th of the current school year.  After April 30th the next school years wait list will be used.
As of 1-1-18 siblings can only be added to the wait list via the lottery. Once the lottery is held new sibling cannot be added to the list.
All currently enrolled students are guaranteed to stay enrolled in their current track in the upcoming school year. Only students wishing to change tracks need to be included in the lottery. For example, if your child is currently on Blue Track and wants to stay on Blue Track for the coming years there is nothing to do at this time.

Why are you doing this so early?

Supporting our youngest students PRIOR to entry into TK/K.  We will be able to have several parent training days where we will provide parents with information on early childhood education, how I can help my child, appropriate developmental education prior to entering school, reading to your child, etc…

At what age can I submit my child’s name for the TK/K lottery?  

Birthdates between 9-2-2012 and 9-1-2013:  Kindergarten 2018/2019. The Lottery will be held October 6th, 2017.  Deadline to sign up is 9-15-17

Birthdates between 9-2-2013 and 9-1-2014:  Kindergarten 2019/2020. The Lottery will be held the first Friday in March 2018. 2019/20 Lottery sign up November 2017-February 15th, 2018.

Birthdates between 9-2-2014 and 9-1-2015.  Kindergarten 2020/2021. The Lottery will be held the first Friday in March 2019. 2020/21 Lottery sign up November 2018-February 15th, 2019.

Birthdates between 9-2-2015 and 9-1-2016.  Kindergarten 2021/2022. The Lottery will be held the first Friday in March 2020. 2021/22 Lottery sign up November 2019-February 15th, 2020.

What does this mean for my student who is currently enrolled?

If you do not want to request a different track, your student will remain on their current track. If you have already requested your child be added to the 2018/2019 wait list please do not complete the 2019/2020 Lottery registration form.  All students on our waitlist will be rolled over to the 2019/2020 lottery.  You will receive a lottery confirmation email prior to February 22nd, 2018. What does this mean for siblings of a current student?

If your child is not currently on the wait list as a sibling you will need to complete a Lottery Sign Up Form by February 15, 2018. www.sra.mn/lottery-sign-up.  To be entered into the Sibling Lottery a students sibling must be enrolled in Santa Rosa Academy no later than 8-1-17. As of January 1st, 2018 siblings can only be added to the wait list through the lottery.  If a sibling is not entered into the lottery prior to a lottery deadline then the sibling will have to wait until the next lottery year to be added to the lottery/wait list.

How does this affect track transfer students?

This will allow currently enrolled students the opportunity to request their optimal track preference for the upcoming school years.  The new deadline to qualify for a track transfer in the 18/19 and 19/20 lottery is August 1,  2017.  See the lottery sign up schedule for more information. More information is located on our page:  http://sra.mn/lottery-info-current-students.

What does this mean for children who are not currently enrolled and are on the general waiting list?

Your student will roll over into the next general lottery.  You do not need to complete a new form; however, you will receive a lottery confirmation email.  Please make sure the information is accurate including grade and track requested. You will need to complete a new form if you have additional students you would like to enter into the general lottery who are not presently on the list.  Please, ONE FORM per student.

What if a parent wants to remove their student from the lottery/wait list?

Please email enrollment at enrollment@sra.mn.

What happens if my student withdraws in between lotteries?  

When a student withdraws they are treated as a new student and would go back into the general lottery.
